Job Description – (junior) Sales Representative

IDG, a global media, data, and services company, is seeking a Sales Representative to join its team in Seoul.
If you are a self-starter interested in learning the in's and out's of media, this is the position for you. We are looking for someone who loves to multitask and can adapt quickly in a fast-paced, deadline and detail-oriented environment. Ideally, you will have knowledge of the digital marketing world.


  • Maintaining sales/client files and databases
  • Revenue tracking for forecasting
  • Conducting analyses on competition
  • Facilitating ad production
  • Managing sales projects – Campaign Management
  • Developing presentations, insertion orders, and statements of work
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience with exceptional customer service and time management skills.
  • Meeting/exceeding sales objectives for assigned account
  • Collaborating with IDG’s sales counterparts to ensure clients receive a world-class experience
  • Working with external business leaders to help them identify areas where IDG may be of value
  • Supporting digital sales efforts, Prospect, develop, and service relationships with direct clients and agency partners
  • Researching prospective clients to determine who may benefit from partnering with IDG, specifically targeting emerging technology companies with a strong focus on net new acquisitions
  • Conducting cold calls, prospecting, and qualifying account opportunities
  • Develop a strong pipeline of new opportunities while also focusing on closing existing business opportunities
  • Account & pipeline management including prospecting and activity, call reports, and forecasting using


  • BA/BS level degree or equivalent
  • Under 5 years work experience preferred
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and fully qualified professional.
  • Top-notch organizational, time management and oral/written communication skills
  • Strong presentation, critical thinking, and negotiation skills
  • Self-starter with good organization and time management skills; able to work at fast pace, to achieve targets & business goals
  • Ability to understand complex business marketing issues and how to leverage the IDG portfolio to achieve the client's objectives.
  • The ability to convert proposed sales into closed business.
  • Ability to build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships internally and externally
  • Confidentiality, tact and discretion when dealing with people and sensitive information


  • Sales or Sales support, account management, or business development experience
  • Deep understanding of online media and trends, outbound cold-calling experience
  •, Microsoft Office program specifically Excel and Power Point skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
